Deryn Relph visited the School of Art Library recently to find inspiration amongst the textile books for her design work with the textile company Harlequin. Deryn is a former student who used the Knitting Reference Library as a resource whilst studying here. She became especially interested in developing her own trims for her range of textiles for interiors and found Weldon’s magazines from the 19th century particularly useful. Deryn went on to win “best in show” at one of the Knitting & Stitching shows and has always been a supporter of our work with the Knitting Reference Library. Deryn has now agreed to lead a workshop as part of In the loop 3 at the Winchester Discovery Centre which will take place on Saturday 8 September 2012.
